DESCRIPTION:All ages welcome. \nAll creeds welcome. \nCome join us as we look for the new crescent that marks the beginning of Ramadan\, insha Allah! \nReceive the month of mercy with your brothers and sisters! Bring your kids\, bring your pets\, bring your neighbors\, but most importantly\, bring your enthusiasm! \nWe will go to the upper level of Larkstone Park in Diamond Bar\, a beautiful green park with a playground\, clean restrooms\, and a picturesque view of the city below. Younger kids can enjoy the playground. Feel free to bring kites\, frisbees\, soccer nets\, or whatever else you need for a good time. \nAnd we’ve got prizes! Show up and you just might get one. \nWe are only a few minutes away from the Institute of Knowledge\, the perfect place to pray the nightfall prayer at the conclusion of our quest\, insha Allah. \nFeel free to bring snacks. We might have some of our own to share. Bring your own water\, prayer rugs\, and jackets. \nOptional: Binoculars \nCOVID-19: Social distancing and the wearing of masks will neither be enforced nor discouraged. \nThere is no fee for this event\, but clicking the registration button will allow us to optimize our hospitality\, insha Allah. \n(we are well aware that the new moon will have been born the night before\, likely visible only to a handful of Australians\, but that’s no fun) \nThis event has been cancelled due to weather.
