So why not do both? \n(we also like bargains\, so read until the end to learn about how you can save $100 on this adventure) \nHave you ever wanted to be an elven sorcerer? A thieving rogue lurking in the shadows? A valiant ranger fighting for justice in the damp and gloomy hinterlands? \nThis is the joy and promise of role-playing games\, where we get to be all of these things and more as we collectively build a high-fantasy story together in the forested environs of Dust and Tribe’s Camp One\, insha Allah. \nHear ye! Hear ye! \nYou are presently summoned to the woodlands of Placerville\, California where we will gather beneath the light of lanterns and torches to weave tales of adventure\, magic\, mischief\, and great peril! Treasure beyond your imagining and honor throughout the realm awaits the brave\, but always remember: \nThere is a fine line between the bold and the brash. \nKnowing when to avoid a fight in favor of cunning diplomacy or silent stealth is the difference between glory and the grave! \nNew to role-playing games? We’ve got you covered. \nEvery player will be assigned a “guardian\,” a mentor who will help you with both character creation and gameplay. \nHere’s how the weekend will go: \nFriday night we gather for a halal tavern-themed dinner before walking you through the whole process of character creation. You’re going to have a ton of fun building out a personality and backstory for your alter-ego. \nAfter a night’s rest\, we wake up Saturday morning\, have breakfast together and get into a swashbuckling mood with a real life treasure hunt searching for geocaches stashed along local trails. You’ll be packing your own lunch for this\, but don’t get too full. \nBecause once back at Camp One\, we’ll prepare another hosted dinner over an open fire as we settle in for our role-playing adventure outside! The forest will darken all around us as we launch into our thrilling campaign fueled by your imagination and sense of fantasy play. Your guardian mentors will stay close to you\, ready to guide you through each of your turns as you acclimate to the wonder of role-play gaming. \nSunday morning\, we’ll rise early for a hosted farewell breakfast before taking the Camp One goats out for a local hike. \nIncluded: \n\nTwo nights of accommodations at D&T Camp One\nFour hosted halal meals (dinner and breakfast x2)\n1:1 mentoring on character creation and gameplay\nOne geocaching day hike\, and one day hike with goats\nPoint-by-point itinerary\, packing list\, and personalized assistance with logistics\nKeepsakes to honor our time together\nNew friends and a lifetime of memories!\n\nWe will have snacks available\, but you are responsible for your lunch on Saturday and your transportation to and from Camp One (airport pickup from Sacramento is available). \nYour dungeon master is Ahmed Pierstorff. \nSpecial Note: minors must be accompanied by a parent who is also registered to play \nBook your spot with a $215 deposit that is refundable up to 30 days prior to our adventure (refund deadline Wednesday 7/2/2025). \n\n \nWanna save $100? \nAll you gotta do is cosplay as your character.
