DESCRIPTION:All ages welcome.\nAll creeds welcome. \nJoin us for a fantastic morning of free recreation\, exercise\, camaraderie\, and goats! Bring your friends and family. We’d love to meet them. \nStarting from the Magnolia Ranch Trailhead just outside Coloma\, CA\, we’ll be taking our packgoats-in-training on a conditioning hike of at least 2.5 miles\, and maybe more. It really depends on how they’re doing. You’re free to leave at any time\, but we’re starting at 7:30 am. If you want to hang out with us\, please be on time. \nWe’ll be hiking this beautiful riparian prairie\, much of it along the south fork of the American River. The hike is mostly flat\, with plenty of opportunity to see wildlife include raptors and river otters. We’ll be picking up trash along the way with a plan to leave the place better than we found it. \nBring your own snacks or pack a lunch and make a picnic of it. Bring plenty of water. This is hilly country that will get your heart pumping and your quads burning\, for sure. But don’t worry. We’re keeping the mileage short on this very beginner-friendly adventure to maximize the immaculate vibes and good times. \nSummer at Henry Coe is a symphony of golden grasses\, silver ponds\, and clear skies\, a glorious wilderness just outside the Bay Area metropolis. \nAlthough shot in the winter\, the footage below is from Henry Coe. \nHave a look and see for yourself: \n \nIncluded: \n\nPoint-by-point itinerary\, packing list\, and personalized assistance with logistics\nAll necessary permits\nOne night of backcountry camping\nWilderness first-aid certified adventure guide\nDaily check-in message to loved ones via satellite transmitter\nCircle reflections\nCommemorative D&T keepsakes to honor our time together\nNew friends and a lifetime of memories!\n\nYou are responsible for your food\, transportation\, clothing\, and gear (limited rentals are available). Interested participants should feel confident in their ability to carry 30 pounds of gear a distance of at least 5 miles. No backpacking experience required. And that’s where we’re going because the subalpine environs just outside the Mokelumne Wilderness are the perfect setting for an introduction to backpacking. \nIf you’ve never been backpacking before\, this is the trip for you. \nAfter years of being told that we make things too hard on people new to backpacking\, we finally listened. We trekked far and wide to find this incredibly relaxing trail. It’s a super easy hike with very little elevation gain\, allowing you to just slip into the beauty of the place without the pain and frustration of your Dust and Tribe predecessors. God bless them. \nThis trip is for men only. You work hard. You could use a break. And just to make it even more fun\, we’re bringing six of our growing Alpine goats! \nThese are our most affectionate and personable little goats\, handpicked from the D&T Camp One herd. They will leave quite the impression\, God willing\, and they absolutely love this trail! \nThis is an out-and-back route that will have us at our campsite in under four miles\, God willing. \nWe’ll be camping alongside some of the prettiest little lakes you ever will see. And don’t worry. Even with this being an overnight trip\, we’ll have plenty of time to take in the radiant sunshine\, clean air\, and cool water. DESCRIPTION:All ages welcome.\nAll creeds welcome. \nCome join us as we look for the new moon of Rabi’ a-Thani\, the fourth month of the Islamic lunar year. \nThis year\, the first possibility of an American sighting falls on the autumnal equinox. Whether or not the new moon is sighted\, we have the opportunity to enjoy a sunset together as we watch summer pass into fall\, insha Allah. \nIn fact\, we think this is so special that we reached out to our friends at Art and Wilderness Institute and they agreed to host a joint gathering that you are all invited to! \nBring your kids\, bring your pets\, bring your neighbors\, but most importantly\, bring your enthusiasm! \nWe will meet at Larkstone Park in Diamond Bar. Light refreshments will be available\, but feel free to bring your own munchies.
