We’re going to put the D&T Podcast on hold until September.
Three of my daughters are staying with me the duration of summer and I am recalibrating priorities accordingly.
The work of Dust and Tribe means a lot to me. It might even be the most important thing I do. We could get really romantic and say that it was the thing I was created for: to reinvigorate the centrality of Wilderness in the life of the Believer.
But Dust and Tribe is not everything. There are people and situations that will assert their preeminence from time to time and I’m learning how to respect and honor that.
A big piece of that respect comes from recognizing God behind all things. If life evolves in a way that I am no longer able to manage my responsibilities, things need to shift and there is likely some lesson at the end of it all. For now that means no podcast until September.
But in the future, it may mean capitalizing on any extra time I have to build up a catalog of episodes for future release, God willing.
Podcasting is new for us at D&T. It takes time to work out a script and to do the recording, edits, and production. Efficiency comes with practice and we’re not there yet. But when we are, I think this post might be fun to look back on.
The girls and I have some fun things planned this summer, insha Allah, and I am thoroughly excited. Take care of yourselves and your families.
There is no more important work.
