a coed desert backcountry adventure
Adult men and women are invited to join us for a 30-mile backcountry loop through one of the most forbidding and awe-inspiring landscapes on earth.
Death Valley is the largest national park in the lower 48. It hosts over a million people from around the world every year. Estimates are that only 300 of those people will hike this loop.
Death Valley is a backpacking frontier. It is a shuddering vastness that only the reckless would tempt. But that stark and unforgiving reputation belies an almost indescribable beauty.
If you know where the water is.
Our shuttles will take you to the trailhead at Cottonwood Canyon. From there we venture into the bush, tracing a course that follows seasonal springs across open washes, exposed ridges, and narrow passages through the living rock. We will spend our nights under the waning crescent moon and fall asleep beneath an endless canopy of stars.
After two nights in the backcountry, we will complete our loop, emerging on our third day from Marble Canyon and out to our waiting shuttles, God willing.
This trip requires that you provide your own food, water, backpack, clothing, and sleep kit. As part of the Dust and Tribe experience, you will be coached and mentored through these logistics. Rental options through non-contracted vendors are available.
This event is fully booked.
