D&T Moon: Moonquest Dhu al-Hijjah 1444

Come join us as we look for the last crescent moon of Dhu al-Hijjah, marking the final month of the Islamic lunar calendar, insha Allah!

Receive the pilgrim moon with your brothers and sisters! Bring your kids, bring your pets, bring your neighbors, but most importantly, bring your enthusiasm!

We will meet at the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve in Newport Beach, among the most pristine remaining estuaries in Southern California. Come early and enjoy this coastal wetland, renowned as one of the finest bird watching sites in North America. You’ll find us on the balcony overlooking the education center, insha Allah.

Feel free to bring snacks. We might have some of our own to share. Bring your own water, prayer rugs, and jackets.
